Footnotes
COAL FIRED showed the way along the inside, receive a right handed cue midway around the turn, swung from the three path into the lane, dug in gamely on the left lead while gradually floating out to the five path, and held sway. KINGSCLIFF had an awkward start, was prompted from in range along the inside, angled out passing the quarter, took aim from the five path at the top of the stretch, ran on to bid passing the eighth pole, but got repelled by the stubborn inner pacesetter. RIPPLE'S ROCKET tracked between foes in the two path, was ridden along the inside passing the quarter, swung from the three path into the lane, angled out to the six path around the sixteenth, and finished evenly. PRINCETON got bumped by an inner foe at the start, raced off the pace, was coaxed along the inside around the turn, got stymied passing the quarter, but stayed on in the two path down the stretch. ASTRO BEAU trailed inside, fanned out to the eight path under a drive entering the lane, steadied passing the eighth pole, but made no impact. TURIN broke out and bumped an outer foe, pressed the winner in the two path, rounded the turn under a ride between foes, but faded while floating out to the six path down the stretch. JACKIE PAPER prompted the pace in the three path, bid midway around the turn, swung out to the seven path at the top of the lane, then yielded. LEDBETTER chased in the three path, was driven around the turn, but weakened.
