SPRING DANCER broke out, set the pace in the two path, was coaxed along the inside around the turn, lost the lead approaching the eighth pole, but dug in valiantly under left handed encouragement to fight back in the final sixteenth, and inched ahead in the final strides. BLUE SQUALL stalked in the three path, loomed in the two path passing the quarter, bid while called on for more run from the four path at the top of the stretch, led passing the furlong grounds, but got edged out by the game inner pacesetter. MISS MARTINI rated in the two path, was pushed along around the turn, angled out to the four path around the sixteenth, and kept on to get up for show at the wire. MARMALADE SKYE got herded out at the start, was prompted from up close inside, cued midway around the turn, cut the corner entering the stretch, but finished evenly. QUEEN'S MARTINI chased in the three path, was roused between foes midway around the turn, swung from the five path into the lane, and improved. MENDELA raced off the pace in the four path, swung from the six path into the stretch, but flattened. BOW DRAW got herded out at the start, trailed in the two path and made no impact. MA RAE'S GIRL tracked between foes early but checked going into the turn, was coaxed along in the three path around the turn, but did not threaten.
