TWO DOLLAR EDDIE showed the way while off the rail up the backstretch, came under pressure along the inside passing the quarter, dug in from the three path down the shortened lane, bumped with the outer runner up around the sixteenth, and held firm. GIANT MOON pressed in the three path, was driven around the far turn, bid from the four path at the top of the short stretch, ran on, bumped with the inner winner around the sixteenth, and got repelled. HICKO settled up close in the four path, was ridden into the far turn, took aim at the top of the lane, but finished evenly on the left lead. CLEAR ECHO settled in range from the two path, rounded the far turn under coaxing along the rail, but flattened in the stretch. BOTE chased in the three path, was driven in the two path around the far turn, swung out to the six path at the top of the shortened lane, but lacked a final bid. TASK was wellback in the four path, nudged along in the three path around the far turn, but made no impact while on the left lead from the five path down the stretch. SIR HENRY OLIVER raced in midpack from the four path but weakened. FOUR O NINE was out in the five path rounding the first turn, stalked from there up the backstretch, came under pressure entering the far turn, but was empty at the top of the lane. OUTLAW RUN stumbled at the start, trailed in the four path early and did not factor. STORMBENDER was reluctant to load, rated inside but did not threaten. SAVED tracked inside turning into the backstretch but gradually retreated. MR. BUTCH was wellback in the two path and never menaced.
