GASOLINE settled off the early pace while just off the rail, three wide into the far turn, four wide into the lane to lose some ground to the leader, late surge to nail that same rival in the final strides. EXPENSIVE CUT dueled up front off the inside, shook clear in the far turn, continued to maintain daylight into and through upper stretch, could not contain the winner in the final strides, remained well clear for the second spot. BIG PAPER hopped at the start to be off a beat slow, raced back, moved out three wide advance final turn, continued that mild rally to prove clear of the others, not a serious threat to the top pair. TAPSASIONAL within striking distance off the inside, three wide trip, had little left for the stretch run. SUNRISE DRIVE void of speed, in some traffic into the stretch, failed to seriously menace when clear. POLTERER dueled early inside the runner up, fell back the middle half, gave way in the stretch, pulled up under the wire, walked off. W W CRAZY lacked speed, gave way in the far turn, eased into the lane, walked in.
