Footnotes
G W'S GIRL broke alertly, with the pace on the outside up the backstretch, continued to vie into the lane, edged away in upper stretch, steadily drew out under a firm left handed crop. MISS MARTINI in the second flight early outside, crept closer four wide by late in the turn, proved no match for the winner through the lane, held sway for the place. YOU'LL BE BACK steadied early between horses, behind the lead pack through the turn, slipped through along the rail turning for home, moved out and was slowly gaining for the second while going back to the rail. WHATA MOON off the leaders and the inside while between horses, bit closer in some traffic three wide late in the turn, clear shot outside through the lane, could only manage an even finish. WISCONSIN GAL set or forced the pace along the inside for a half, weakened in the drive. SPANKERBOOM with the pace while between horses, was tiring late in the turn when forced to steady in tight quarters, continued to weaken through the stretch. INNOCENCE fell back to trail after the start and was never involved.
