ONLY AFTER MIDNITE tracked behind the pacesetter in the two path, was roused midway around the far turn, bid while tipping out to the three path passing the quarter, took command while angling back into the two path at the top of the lane, and drew clear. AVERY COUNTY showed the way in the two path up the backstretch, was cued midway around the far turn, lost the lead to the winner from just off the rail at the top of the stretch, could not keep up with that one, but angled out to the four path for the final furlong, and ran on to clearly be second best. CLOSDATGATE laid off the pace along the rail, was pushed along from the rail around the far turn, flattened down the stretch, but was the best of the rest. DEVIL'S DEN prompted the pace in the three path, was driven into the far turn, swung from the five path into the stretch, but yielded. OPEN FLAME rated in the two path, was cued from the three path passing the three-eighths pole, but made no closing bid. SMOOTH MARRIAGE trailed around the first turn, raced towards the back of the pack in the three path up the backstretch, came under pressure midway around the far turn, fanned out to the seven path at the top of the stretch, but made no impact. MY SWEET ANGEL stalked in the four path, floated out to the six path under a drive turning into the lane, and gave way. CALIPARI'S GIRL was wellback in the three path early and never threatened. INUIT slowly broke out at the start, settled in midpack from the three path entering the backstretch, came under a ride entering the far turn, but was empty at the top of the lane.
