PITTSBURGH settled off early pace just off the inside, advanced into contention in the two path turning for home, challenged inside the leader with less than a furlong remaining then was edging clear late. EUCLID AVENUE forwardly placed off the inside, three wide bid just before a half, vied through the final turn while widest of the first flight, got out turning for home to come in the five path for the drive, briefly responded when the winner came alongside inside the furlong marker then could not match strides late. COST BASIS away in good order, dueled inside, vied along the rail through the final turn, gradually weakened from late in the turn, narrowly saved the show. LUCKY BOSS off a step slow, raced back and off the rail, two path into the lane, staged a mild rally, missed the show. INDEPENDENT PAUL off a step slow, lacked speed, improved position with some mild, belated interest. MEGATAP five wide into the first turn, remained outside, five wide late in the second bend, lacked a closing punch. MAN ON THE MOON went one paced throughout while three wide. LIONS NOT SHEEP hesitated at the start, raced back, improved slightly while off the inside, failed to menace. FIGHT'N READY off step slow, lagged well back, picked off a couple of tiring rivals after the issue had been decided. MO MOVES dueled off the inside, stopped form between foes second turn. FROST ALERT off slowly, moved up to mid pack, faded after a half. VANISKY stumbled badly at the start unseating rider.
