MAGNITUDE away best of all, pressed the issue in the three path first turn, continued to apply pressure to the pacesetter in the run up the backstretch, crept closer to that rival in the far turn, dueled into the lane and wore that same opponent down past the furlong marker, drew clear under continued steady handling. NU WHAT'S NEW broke just behind the winner, narrowly showed the way into the first turn inside that one, set a moderate set of fractions up front, responded when challenged second turn, dueled briefly while remaining inside the winner before yielding the final furlong, remained comfortably clear of the others. GOULD'S GOLD in the second flight into the first turn in the three path, asked along after a half, came three wide for the drive, set down, could do little with the top two through the lane, far clear of the rest. ECHO AGAIN last to leave, within striking distance while off the inside first turn, jammed and steadied with over six furlongs to run, continued to pull onto the backstretch, continued off the inside through the second bend before coming up empty for the stretch run. WOODCOURT close up and along the inside past the wire the first time, checked up when in tight inside the runner up entering the first turn, recovered and continued to race within striking distance while saving ground, had little left after five furlongs. SANDMAN fell back to trail after the start while outside, raced four wide through the first turn, remained well wide the middle half to be four wide again through the second bend, went flat through the lane in failing to mount a response.
