DICK BEST drew away around the first turn to set a clear pace in the two path up the backstretch, was nudged into the far turn, cued midway around the far turn, and kicked away down the shortened lane. CAMP DADDY stalked in the four path up the backstretch, was ridden from the three path into the far turn, could not keep up with the winning pacesetter down the short stretch, but kept on to be second best. FACE VALUE settled in midpack from the three path, was roused early around the far turn, floated out to the five path entering the lane, and stayed on to get up for show at the wire. BIG COMMERCE chased between foes in the three path, was driven from the two path into the far turn, but evened out in the stretch. METATRON'S MUSE laid off the pace inside, was cued from the two path early around the far turn, angled out passing the quarter, swung from the seven path into the lane, and improved. EASY FAST had a slow start, rated in the three path, was coaxed along from the four path around the far turn, floated out to the nine path down the stretch, and finished evenly. RINGSIDE tracked inside, came under a ride from the two path early around the far turn, but made no impact. EMBER trailed in the four path up the backstretch and did not factor. TIGER TOWN was a bit keen around the first turn, raced up close along the inside, but lost ground under a ride around the far turn, and was empty at the top of the lane. SOLEVO raced towards the back of the pack in the five path up the backstretch and weakened. STATLER was wellback in the two path and never menaced.
