Footnotes
PUBLISHER laid up close in the two path, waited around the far turn, angled out while coming under pressure passing the quarter, took aim in the five path at the top of the lane, rallied to lead passing the furlong grounds, angled in to meet an inner challenger while losing the lead entering the final sixteenth, but dug in to inch ahead at the wire. DR. STORM got bumped by an outer foe at the start, rated inside, was cued from the two path midway around the far turn, kicked on to bid inside of rivals passing the eighth pole, led entering the final sixteenth, but got edged out by the winner. COUPERIN stalked in the four path, was driven around the far turn, floated out to the six path at the top of the lane, and finished evenly for show. NUMBER ONE DUDE set the pace in the two path, came under a nudge passing the three-eighths pole, fought on from the three path down the stretch, but flattened in the final furlong. BIG GAIN pressed the pace in the three path, vied under a drive around the far turn, but faded from the four path in the final furlong. CLASSY EMPIRE broke in and bumped an inner foe, was unhurried in the four path early but made no impact. FOUNTAIN RUN tracked between foes in the three path early but retreated.
