CAROOM'S CROUPIER showed the way along the inside, waited confidently around the turn, received a right handed cue in the two path at the top of the lane, and drew clear. ROOTS TOOTN bumped with an outer foe at the start, raced up close in the two path, was nudged along the rail around the turn, cut the corner into the stretch, could not keep up with the runaway winner, flattened in the final furlong, but held place. A VISION OF HOPE bumped with an inner foe and had to steady at the start, was unhurried in the three path, cued passing the quarter, and finished evenly for show. BACK NINE was wellback along the inside, came under a ride in the two path midway around the turn, cut the corner at the top of the stretch, and passed tired outer foes. DORIS J was hustled in midpack from the three path, swung out to the six path under a drive turning into the lane, made no closing bid, and lugged in to bump an inner foe passing the furlong grounds. SWEET BABY D trailed out in the five path, fanned out to the nine path turning into the lane, and made no impact. MONETA prompted the pace in the two path, was driven around the turn, swung from the four path into the stretch, yielded, and got bumped by an outer foe passing the eighth pole. PIRULITA raced off the pace from out in the five path and did not factor. TALLAHASSEE was up close in the four path early but gave way in the stretch. PRAISE PAULINA rated inside but retreated.
