Footnotes
ERVADEAN close from the start off the inside, challenged the leader from the outside exiting the turn, put a head in front when straightened for home, put that rival away inside the furlong grounds then had enough left late to hold off the runner up;. BEAUTY REIGNS back off the pace just off the rail, was covered up in traffic through much of the turn, three wide into the lane, briskly roused, finished up willingly while too late. BLUE SQUALL behind the pace while along the inside, moved closer into the stretch, in a bit tight along the rail inside of the tiring pacesetter, went flat the final sixteenth while prevailing for the show. BEAUTIFUL TWICE broke on top, showed the way along the inside, dueled with the winner past the furlong marker, yielded to that one then lost the battle for the show with BLUE SQUALL after allowing that one the inside. MENDELA behind the pace while off the rail, three wide into the lane, lacked a closing punch. MISS MARTINI last to leave, trailed most of the way in failing to menace. QUANTUM BURST tired after racing four wide through the turn.
