Footnotes
SKYLER broke well, showed the way while firmly in hand early, dueled and headed midway up the backstretch, shook off that rival into the far turn, clear again second turn, turned back a a second foe nearing midstretch to garner daylight once again in the late going, enough left to hold the runner up safe in the waning strides. PHENOMENAL DREAM last to leave, void of any speed for five furlongs, swept up toward the front with a four wide move in the second turn, lost some ground to the winner into the stretch as a result, finished up willingly to be getting back to that one late. TEXAS CYCLONE broke alertly, raced forwardly and off the inside, crept closer three wide into the stretch, lodged a mild and brief bid past the furlong marker then went flat in the late going. REBEL MOON lacked early foot while toward the inside, continued to save some ground while racing back into the far turn, tapped on the brakes in some traffic midway on that bend then improved position after recovering. GOLD GUNNER back off the pace and the inside, steered out four wide around some traffic in the second turn, came four wide for the drive and also bettered his position without posing a serious threat. HEAVENLY DEACON broke out, raced back off the pace and the inside, went three wide through both turns, had little for the drive. SCOTTISH STORM in mid pack while toward the inside, crept a bit closer in traffic late backstretch and into the turn, waited while lacking room midway on the second bend, lacked a kick when clear for the drive. MISSING ROCKS within striking distance, also encountered traffic in the far turn, steadied when in tight between horses, fell back and failed to recover. TUCKER TIKI ran off while warming up, corralled by an outrider, broke forwardly, pressed the issue early, dueled backstretch, stopped in the final turn and jogged in.
