SPOILER allowed the pace to go early, headed up the second flight into the first turn, tipped out three wide late in the final bend, challenged on the outside entering the stretch, long drive, displayed good determination in the late going to gain the nod. FORT SAM dueled up front off the inside through some lively splits, continued to alternate for the advantage in the run up the backstretch, gained a slightly larger when straightened for home, responded when the winner challenged from the outside, second duel to the wire, narrowly missed in a game effort. CLASSIC LEGACY broke back, angled in steadily into the first turn to tighten up a pair of inner foes resulting in a substantial bumping incident between that pair, advanced after a half, continued to move toward the front late in the final turn, angled inside the top two inside the furlong marker and finished willingly to be getting to that pair late. SWEET AS SIN settled in the second flight while racing off the inside, three wide through the final turn, went evenly through the stretch in lacking a closing response. PROTONIC POWER raced back and inside early, in tight, soundly bumped with SPEED BIAS entering the first turn, continued back while saving ground, failed to menace. ITSINMYBLOOD went one paced three wide throughout, lacked closing kick. DYNAMIS dueled up front along the inside through those lively fractions, caved in when straightened for home while along the inside. SPEED BIAS off a step slow, put in tight, bumped soundly into the first turn, lost action and rider his irons briefly, remained back in trailing throughout. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE RUN INTO THE FIRST TURN, CLASSIC LEGACY WAS DISQUALIFIED FOR INTERFERENCE AND PLACED EIGHTH.
