Footnotes
UNLOAD with the early pace while between horses, allowed the two leaders to go onto the backstretch, stalked that pair up the backstretch, rebid three wide second turn, gained the advantage and drew out through the lane under a steady hand ride to win ridden out. ITALIAN SYMPHONY lacked speed while three wide through the first turn, continued in midpack up the backstretch, four wide through the second bend, rallied to rain the second spot while no threat to the winner. BEYOND BEST off a step slow, raced back, came three wide out of the final turn, roused, rallied, outkicked for the second spot while between foes at the wire. PATTON'S TIZZY broke on top, set or forced the pace along the inside, weakened in the drive. GA MO TAK (CHI) in the main body while three wide early, came four wide for the drive, lacked the necessary closing response. HOT GUNNER fell back to trail after the start, saved ground through the final bend, picked off some tiring rivals after the issue had been decided. DICK BEST four wide when back off the pace in the first turn, continued to race back, in some traffic then steadied with a half mile remaining, failed to make an impact in the drive. RIGHT ON RIGHT ON within striking distance in the first turn while just off the inside, began a steady retreat after a half. LITTLE STEVEN moved up to duel first turn, held a slight advantage with a half to run, gave way from between horses and inside the winner midway on the final turn.
