Footnotes
TEJANO TWIST broke with the field, assumed customary position in the back of the field, continued to see them all through the turn in the two path, swung out four wide for the drive, shaken up, brushed lightly with BOURBON BASH when that one came out nearing the furlong grounds, reeled the leaders in soon after under confident handling and won going away while firmly in hand at the end. TOUGH CATCH back off the pace and the inside, advanced in the three path into the stretch, challenged nearing midstretch, proved no match for the winner with a sixteenth to run, continued to vie for the second spot and held sway for that position in the final strides;. GOLD SWEEP behind the pace while along the inside, moved closer while continuing along the rail into the stretch, challenged when straightened for home, also proved no match for the winner late, outkicked for the place. WENDELSSOHN broke well, set a pressured early pace inside, shook clear and was given a bit of a breather through the turn, came in the two path for the drive, allowed GOLD SWEEP the rail upper stretch, weakened steadily the final furlong. BOURBON BASH lacked speed, raced three wide through the turn when behind the lead pack, brushed slightly with the winner midstretch, came up empty late. RYVIT dueled early off the inside, began a steady retreat before a half.
