MASTER MULE rated along the rail, was cued from the two path midway around the turn, angled out to the five path at the top of the lane, rallied ahead passing the sixteenth pole, and went clear. POPPA ECHO dictated terms from the two path, waited confidently around the turn, came under pressure at the top of the stretch, ran on well, but got overtaken by the winner around the sixteenth to be second best. BOB'S CARROT was prompted from up close in the four path, coaxed along in the three path rounding the turn, but finished evenly on the left lead for show. NORWICH tracked in the three path, rounded the turn while pushed along from the rail, but lacked a final bid. HANDSOME HERB stalked outside of foes from the five path, continued under pressure from the four path around the turn, but faded in the six path down the lane. ARTHUR JR trailed in the four path and did not threaten. TRIPLE UP laid off the pace in the three path but made no closing bid.
