I'M FIRED UP was prominent just outside the pacesetter in the three path, held command while the rider took a confident look back midway around the turn, came under a ride passing the quarter, and dug in gamely in the four path down the lane to hold on. CONWAY stalked in the four path, was driven around the turn, ranged up passing the quarter, bid from the five path at the top of the lane, kicked on to duel head and head with an inner rival to the wire, but got repelled late. HUMOROUS SAINT tracked in the four path, was pushed along from the three path around the turn, and ran on from the two path down the lane for show. DAWSON JAMES got pinched between foes and had to check at the start, was wellback in the two path, split foes in the four path passing the quarter, swung out to the seven path at the top of the stretch, and passed tired rivals. BIG COUNTRY BOY led from the two path into the turn, got overtaken by the winner passing the three-eighths pole, and yielded down the lane. STILLBILLY raced in midpack along the inside, floated out to the five path entering the stretch, and made no impact. BO BO DOUGH bumped between foes at the start, settled in midfield from the three path but made no closing bid. DENALI LIGHTNING got pinched between foes clipping heels and nearly lost the rider at the start, was well behind early and never a factor. ZONG'S TO BLAME bumped with an inner foe at the start, chased in the four path, fanned out to the eight path turning into the lane, and never threatened. ZONG'S CREED bumped with an inner foe at the start, was wellback in the four path and never menaced. AN INQUIRY LOOKING AT THE START AS WELL AS AN OBJECTION BY THE RIDER OF DENALI LIGHTNING AGAINST THE RIDERS OF CONWAY AND ZONG'S CREED RESULTED IN NO CHANGE.
