Footnotes
SALAGADOOLA settled in midpack between foes, waited from the two path around the far turn, came under pressure passing the quarter, swung from the four path into the lane, angled out to the six path passing the furlong grounds, rallied into the final furlong, and drew ahead of an inner pair in the final strides. ARGAN was well away to go clear entering the first turn, dictated terms while uncontested from the two path up the backstretch, was cued when challenged passing the three-eighths pole, tipped out to the three path midway around the far turn, dug in gamely to fend off an outer rival down the stretch, but got nailed by another late charging outer rival at the wire. WHAT'S TO DO stalked in the three path up the backstretch, loomed up passing the three-eighths pole, got carried out to the four path while making a bid midway around the far turn, kicked on to sustain that bid from the five path down the lane, but got edged out by foes on both sides. C. C. HARBOR trailed in the four path, was driven around the turn, floated out to the nine path turning into the stretch, and improved. BOLTORO laid in range in the four path, was coaxed along between rivals from the three path around the far turn, but flattened from the five path in the stretch. MO SENSE was unhurried along the inside, cued midway around the far turn, but made no closing bid from the three path down the lane. LEGALLY LUCKY rated out in the five path up the backstretch but made no impact. SARANAC LAKE tracked along the rail but weakened in the stretch. AN OBJECTION LODGED BY THE RIDER OF WHAT'S TO DO AGAINST THE RIDER OF ARGAN FOR INTERFERENCE AROUND THE FAR TURN WAS DISALLOWED.
