Footnotes
SKIPPYLONGSTOCKING broke with the field, raced forwardly and four wide into the first turn, pressured the pacesetter in the run up the backstretch from the outside, moved on that one at will in the far turn, gained the advantage, cleared into the lane, maintained a comfortable advantage to the wire despite drifting out while being kept to task the final furlong with a right handed crop. MACKMAN also forwardly placed past the wire the first time, in some traffic and in tight entering the first turn, moved out and raced three wide behind the two leaders into the final turn, roused for the drive turning for home, proved no threat to the winner through lane while proving game for the second spot. SAN SIRO broke back, raced three wide while well off the pace through the first turn, remained back into the second bend, advanced into the lane, lodged a bid for the second spot late, outkicked. GOULD'S GOLD with the first flight early off the inside, settled in the second flight the middle half, remained in the two path entering the stretch, lacked a serious closing response while closest to the inside. DUKE OF DUVAL in mid pack and inside, continued to save some ground through the second turn, failed to muster a response in the drive. ACCELERIZE broke alertly, cleared to the inside soon after, set a pressured pace while remaining inside, gave way when headed by the winner far turn and continued a steady retreat through the lane. DOC SULLIVAN hesitated at the break to spot the field a couple of lengths, continued to trail, steered out three wide second turn, failed to muster a rally.
