FEAR OF UNION rated between foes from the four path up the backstretch, came under pressure from the four path midway around the far turn, fanned out to the six path at the top of the lane, and rallied past inner rivals in the final furlong. CONQUERING CAT prompted the pace in the two path, bid under coaxing between foes in the three path passing the quarter, ran on hold command entering the final furlong, inched clear around the sixteenth, but got overtaken by the late charging winner in the closing stages. SLIP MAHONEY laid in range along the rail, was cued midway around the far turn, and kept on in the two path down the lane to hold show. DYNAMIS stalked in the three path, ranged up to bid in the four path passing the quarter, but finished evenly to get edged out for minor placings. BERNIN TUNE had an awkward start, was unhurried from the rail entering the backstretch, came under a ride entering the far turn, and finished on one pace down the lane. HERN raced off the pace in the two path, was driven into the far turn, angled out to the five path in upper stretch, but made no closing bid. SWISS GUARD showed the way along the rail, was cued when challenged midway around the far turn, lost the lead at the top of the stretch, and gave way in the final furlong. UNCLE CAESAR settled in midpack from the four path up the backstretch but weakened. PARKWAY chased out in the five path up the backstretch, was pushed along around the far turn, but made no closing bid.
