Footnotes
BRITTANY'S DREAM broke well, fell back soon after, pulled under stout restraint up the backstretch inside, in some traffic far turn, steered out to be three wide entering the stretch, set down, rallied, late duel, narrowly gained the nod in a game effort. BIG PAPER broke inward and back, continued to lack speed off the inside, began to advance four wide far turn, fanned five wide while being brushed into the stretch, rallied widest, late bid, missed. INCA EMPIRE away in good order, set a pressured pace in the two path, continued to hold the advantage into the lane, turned back a rival inside the furlong grounds, proved stubborn to the end while unable to contain the top two in the final strides. DRUM ROLL PLEASE settled off the early pace and the inside to be four wide into the first turn, continued in mid pack for a half, moved closer three wide through the second bid, challenged outside the pacesetter in upper stretch then stalled the final furlong to lose a couple of positions late. BETTERA bobbled at the start then broke out, in some traffic while in a bit tight in the second flight first turn, moved inside the middle half, steered out when closest three wide and between horses into the lane, came up empty for the stretch run. REBELIOUS back off the pace while inside early, moved out three wide through the second bend, four wide, brushed when in a tight of a tight spot into the lane, also was found lacking through the lane. HAWKS CREEK pinched to be away slowly, remained back and off the inside, three path through the second bend, made little impact to the wire. FACE VALUE pressed the issue up front from the outside, gave way in the far turn, continued to falter through the stretch. HARD TO FATHOM four wide through the first turn, was finished after a half.
