HIGGINSVILLE prompted the pace in the two path, bid under coaxing from the three path passing the quarter, drew ahead from the four path in upper stretch, and went clear. ARKY ROAD settled in midpack between foes from the two path, waited behind the leaders around the far turn, angled out to the five path passing the furlong grounds, and kept on for place. TEXAS CYCLONE showed the way along the inside, came under a ride midway around the far turn, fought on from the two path down the lane, flattened in the final furlong, but held show. PHENOMENAL DREAM was wellback in the three path, waited around the far turn, was roused from the six path entering the lane, and finished evenly. GOLD GUNNER chased in the two path, was nibbled along going into the far turn, fought on from the rail entering the lane, but flattened in the final furlong. REBEL MOON trailed along the rail up the backstretch, was ridden around the far turn, and passed tired rivals from the two path in the stretch. TAKEN ON THE RUN raced off the pace in the four path, was ridden around the far turn, but made no impact. FRENCH KNIGHT stalked in the three path but yielded around the far turn.
