PAYNE trailed in the three path, was pushed along around the turn, fanned out to the seven path at the top of the lane, rallied down the center into the final furlong and drew ahead of inner rivals in the closing stages. JUILLIARD pressed the pace in the two path, was cued between foes midway around the turn, swung from the five path into the lane, ran on to lead passing the furlong grounds, but got caught in the final strides by a late charging outer foe. INNOVA vied for the lead inside, waited along the rail around the turn, was cued while swinging out to the four path at the top of the lane, and dug in but got out-finished by an outer pair to show. MACHINE GUN MAN prompted the pace in the three path, came under a ride passing the quarter, and stayed on in the five path down the stretch. BRON AND BROW raced off the pace in the four path, came under a drive midway around the turn, and mildly gained. AERO STAR tracked in the two path but was one paced down the lane. GO WEST stalked in the four path, ranged up under a ride passing the quarter, but flattened in the final furlong. LIGHTNING STRUCK chased along the rail but flattened in the stretch. KONTEEKEE was wellback in the four path and made no impact. DAZZLEMESILVER had an awkward start, was unhurried in the three path but did not threaten.
