Footnotes
BOURBON'S FAULT pressed between foes, was roused from the three path passing the three-eighths pole, made a bold bid in the four path at the top of the lane, took command passing the furlong grounds, and kicked on to hold off a late charging outer foe. HEAVENLYCONVEYANCE chased in the two path, came under a ride passing the three-eighths pole, angled out to the five path at the top of the stretch, rallied into the final furlong, but was out of time. HANDSOME HERB laid up close in the five path, was coaxed along in the four path around the turn, swung from the six path into the lane, and kept on for show. TROUBLE AHEAD steadied early, trailed in the four path, came under pressure in the three path passing the three-eighths pole, and stayed on willingly. POPPA ECHO showed the way while out in the three path early, waited in the two path around the turn, was roused at the top of the stretch, fought on while losing the lead passing the furlong grounds, then yielded in the final sixteenth. CULPA had a slow start, moved up to track along the rail early but retreated.
