Footnotes
MISS CHOCOLATTE bumped with an outer foe at the start, pressed in the two path, vied confidently for the lead around the far turn, held command passing the quarter, and drew away under light coaxing from the four path down the lane. AVERY COUNTY set a contested pace inside, lost the lead while under a drive midway around the far turn, finished evenly down the stretch, but was clearly 2nd best. MIRACLE MINDED bumped between foes at the start, settled in midpack from the four path, came under pressure passing the three-eighths pole, swung from the five path into the lane, made no closing bid, but got up for show. BACK NINE bumped with an inner foe at the start, rated out in the five path up the backstretch, was nibbled along from the three path around the far turn, but lacked a closing kick. BATTISTO bumped with an inner foe at the start, stalked in the three path, came under a drive passing the three-eighths pole, but faltered in the lane. VALESKA'S PROMISE bumped with an outer foe at the start, was wellback along the inside and did not factor. DEVIL'S DEN tracked in the two path, was asked for more run entering the far turn, but retreated. SURPRISING LOVE stumbled at the start, raced off the pace in the two path but never threatened. DIXIE laid in range between foes around the first turn, gave way after a half, fell on the gallop out, got up and was transported off the track in an equine ambulance.
