Footnotes
SAVING HEART settled in midpack outside of foes, moved up under coaxing in the four path around the turn, swung from the six path into the lane, and rallied into the final furlong to draw past the inner leader in the final strides. BRASS NUCKS pressed the pace, took command while in hand from the three path midway around the turn, was roused just after the quarter, kicked away at the top of the stretch, but was caught by a late charging outer foe in the final strides. MIDSHAKIN popped the gate prior to the start, chased between rivals, was roused from the three path midway around the turn, angled out to the six path at the top of the lane, and finished evenly to get up for show. BET ON TIZ tracked in the two path, was roused midway around the turn, but faded in the three path down the stretch. DAWSON JAMES had a slow start, trailed in the two path, passed a fading foe while coming under a ride midway around the turn, tipped out to the four path entering the lane, and finished evenly. STAUF was wellback in the four path, fanned out to the nine path in upper stretch, and passed tired foes. BUCK O FIVE raced off the pace between foes, steadied passing the half, was pushed along in the three path around the turn, floated out to the eight path in upper stretch, but made no impact. CATALINA GOLD led from the two path into the turn, was cued passing the three-eighths pole, but yielded in the stretch. CITY RYDER was prompted from up close along the rail but weakened in the stretch. BERNARDI stalked in the four path, was roused from the three path midway around the turn, but retreated. AMERICAN RUSHFIRE raced off the pace inside but never menaced.
