ASHBURNER stalked form the three path up the backstretch, was roused passing the three-eighths pole, ranged up to bid approaching the quarter, dueled with a stubborn inner rival into the final furlong, and inched ahead. JUTE BOX pressed the pace along the rail, vied for the lead in hand around the far turn, came under a ride passing the quarter, led entering the stretch, fought on while battling with an outer rival down the stretch, but got edged out late. RAG TREE rated in the three path, came under a ride between foes passing the three-eighths pole, and kept on for show. AWOL raced off the pace in the three path, was ridden in the four path around the far turn, fanned out to the six path at the top of the stretch, and improved. POLAR WOLF tracked in the two path, was asked for more run from along the rail midway around the far turn, but flattened. PIASTRI chased in the four path up the backstretch, was nibbled along into the far turn, but made no closing bid. COPPERJACKET steadied around the first turn, was unhurried along the inside up the backstretch but made no impact. MO'S FLYING LOW set the pace in the two path early, was headed by an inner rival approaching the far turn, lost ground while under a drive between foes passing the quarter, and gave way. CAPTAIN HAMAZING trailed out in the four path and never menaced. CUTTING CLASS took an awkward stumble at the start causing him to lose the rider, travelled with the field around the course, was caught shortly after the finish and walked off. NO CHANGES WERE MADE AFTER THE STEWARDS HELD AN INQUIRY TO LOOK AT THE START.
