FEAR OF UNION was wellback in the two path, pushed long around the far turn, split rivals from the three path at the top of the lane, kicked on to bid while angling in passing the furlong grounds, drew ahead passing the sixteenth, and held firm. MIRAGE vied for the lead from just off the rail, came under pressure passing the three-eighths pole, dug in gamely from the two path entering the stretch, drifted out to the four path passing the furlong grounds, then tipped back into the two path after losing the lead just before the sixteenth, but was second best. DJANGO had a slow start, trailed from the two path turning into the backstretch, angled out under a ride midway around the far turn, then fanned from the seven path into the lane, and ran on outside of rivals to get up for show. ELEVEN BRAVO dueled for the lead in the three path, continued to battle under coaxing from the two path around the far turn, fought on from the four path in upper stretch, but flattened around the sixteenth. PAPA YO raced off the pace in the three path, continued under a drive into the far turn, floated out to the six path at the top of the lane, then finished evenly. BAXTER stalked in the four path, was coaxed along from the three path around the far turn, but faded in the five path down the stretch. SHEPHERD tracked in the two path, was cued midway around the far turn, but weakened in the lane. BERNIN TUNE rated along the rail but yielded around the far turn.
