ORANGE DIABLO stalked in the three path up the backstretch, continued under a ride into the far turn, ranged up to take aim in the five path at the top of the lane, kicked on to bid passing the furlong grounds, and inched ahead in the final sixteenth. BEDARD showed the way while just off the rail, came under coaxing midway around the far turn, dug in from the three path down the lane, but got edged out by the outer winner in the final sixteenth. NATIVE LAND prompted the inner pacesetter from the two path, bid while being pushed along midway around the far turn, fought on in upper stretch, but flattened in the final sixteenth to show. BEN FRANKLIN settled towards the back of the pack in the three path, floated out to the seven path under a drive entering the stretch, and finished evenly. FIRST BID trailed inside early, was ridden between foes in the two path passing the quarter, floated out to the five path in upper stretch, but made no final bid. YELLOW BRICK was wellback between foes from the two path up the backstretch but made no impact. LUCKY MISCHIEF tracked inside but retreated down the lane.
