Footnotes
BATTER UP off a step slow, lacked early foot while just off the inside, three then four wide into the far turn when beginning to advance, kept coming while under a brisk hand ride and was up in the late going while widest of the first flight at the wire. D DAY REUNION settled off the pace while three wide through the first turn, continued in mid pack up backstretch, advanced into the lane while in the three path, challenged inside the winner and between horses with a sixteenth to run, outkicked in the final strides. SIR EXTON with the pace while four wide into the first turn, shook clear before a half, continued to hold a daylight advantage through the final turn and into the stretch, could not contain the top two late while inside, well clear of the others. MAZING MARK broke back, lacked speed while saving some ground, steadied slightly when in tight into the far turn along the rail, came in the two path for the drive, improved position with some mild interest. LEAR lacked speed for a half, moved a bit closer four wide far turn, flattened out a bit in the drive to finish up evenly, vanned off after pulling up short after the wire. SARA'S SHAMAN with the pace while three wide early, chased the leader the middle half and had little for the stretch run. BIGWRIGDUDE squeezed back from the first flight into the first turn, raced in the second flight for the next four furlongs then came up empty for the drive. LEBOMBO was finished after a half. HOLUS BOLUS had speed for a half inside, stopped.
