BRIGHT SPARK settled off the early pace out in the strip, moved closer four wide onto the backstretch the second time, challenged three wide with a quarter to run, kicked strongly clear. J T'S IMAGINATION forwardly placed three wide, raced in hand, challenged in the third turn inside the winner, proved no match for that one while prevailing for the second spot. EXCEL CALCULATOR raced in mid pack, raced in hand, asked along three wide into the final turn, advanced then was roused into the lane, rallied and finished willingly to miss the second spot. TREBLE CLEF off step slow, void of speed well off the inside, advanced four wide after a mile, closest in upper stretch then flattened out a bit the final sixteenth. UNLOAD behind the first flight, raced three wide most of the way, lacked a closing kick. MAGIC GRANT fell back to trail after the start, continued to lag past the wire the first time, began a steady advance soon after, came four to five wide into the lane, improved jposition. MOWINS saved ground when off the pace, continued in even fashion in for over a mile, moved out into the final turn, came four wide for the drive, improved position without making a serious impact. MANSOURA settled off the pace while racing in the three path, continued in that second flight through the second turn, one paced to the wire in having little left for the drive. BRITTANY'S DREAM forwardly placed off the inside, advanced to duel after eight furlongs, put the early speed away before being joined by the top two soon after in the third bend, weakened in the drive. ICARUS lacked speed, three wide in the final bend, lacked a serious closing response. GLOBAL EMPIRE raced in mid pack for a mile and faded. HOLDING PATTERN was never a serious threat. MONTAUK POINT chased the issue early and gave way. PAPA FUNNY quickly sprinted clear after the start, set the pace for a mild, dueled into final turn, stopped when headed.
