FORGED STEEL broke on top, set the pace along the inside, rated in the run up the backstretch, responded when the runner up crept closer in the second turn then dug in through the lane to prevail in determined fashion. GEWURZTRAMINER also away in good order, prompted the winner from the outside, moved closer in the second turn, dueled past the furlong marker, outkicked in the late going while remaining clear for the place. ZAMBEZI settled in the second flight while racing off the inside, chased the top two in the two path into lane, could do little with that pair the final furlong, clear of the others. BADDEST GOOD BOY back off the pace while four wide into the first turn, three wide onto the backstretch, continued in the three path the middle half, continued evenly through the lane. ARCHIE THE GIZA in mid pack while racing in the two path, lacked a closing response. TONKA WARRIOR off a step slow, advanced up into the main body early, saved ground onto the backstretch, two to three wide final turn, also found lacking in the drive. DIVE BOMBER in the second flight while inside, continued to save ground second turn, had little for the drive. IMPERIAL GUN lacked speed while outside, came four wide out of the final turn, failed to rally. BOURBON SOCIETY stumbled at the start, remained always back while off the inside. TRACKING ERROR finished early. PRINCETOWN off step slow, remained sluggish while far back, pulled up in upper stretch, vanned off.
