FIFTY CENT DOLLARS outrun in the early going out in the strip, four wide advance out of the turn, outside bid inside the furlong marker, edged clear under firm handling. PAYNE fell back to trail in the run up the backstretch, two then moved out to three wide turn, rallied well through traffic to be up for the place. STRATO pressed the early leader off the inside, challenged in the two path late in the turn, put a head in front entering the stretch, shook clear with less than a furlong remaining but could not contain the top pair. STEEL LINK broke alertly, showed the way up the backstretch inside, dueled into and through upper stretch, gradually weakened. ROCKET SANDERS off a step slow, raced back, four wide midway on the turn, mild amount of late interest to improve position. LITTLE STEVEN in the second flight while racing outside, four wide far turn, went one paced through the stretch in having little left. PATTON'S TIZZY also in the second group, three wide and between foes turn, tired in the drive. LIGHTNING STRUCK off the pace while three wide, steered to the rail by late in the turn, faded. COME OUT FIGHTING was not a factor while racing inside. BLACK WHITE N GOLD settled in mid pack inside, staged a steady retreat.
