Footnotes
WILLY D'S with the pace from the start, dueled up the backstretch, slipped away from the other speed in the final turn, clear into the stretch, responded when the runner up came calling out a furlong out, headed, found more and battled back in a gutty effort. COAL BATTLE off the pace and the inside, closer three wide from the second flight far turn, engaged the winner from the outside approaching the furlong marker, briefly put a head in front, dueled to the wire, outgutted in the final strides. MACKMAN lightly bump start, settled in the second flight while just off the inside, two path into the final turn just inside the runner up, steadily lost position through that bend to trail into the stretch, shaken up, split foes past the furlong marker and rerallied to narrowly gain the show late. SUBSANADOR (ARG) stumbled at the start, lacked early foot, angled out when moving closer four wide late in the final turn, proved no match for the top two in the run to the wire, nipped for the show spot. SEIZE THE NIGHT off a step slow, trailed early, made a mild move three wide in the second turn, also flattened out. AMERICAN PROMISE dueled up front inside the winner, began to falter turn, continued to weaken through the stretch.
