Footnotes
DOUBLECENTS pushed out at the break, quickly recovered to show the way early, continued to set the pace while in hand into and through the turn, drew off as he pleased through the lane in sharp fashion to be a handy winner. HAWKEYE STATE forwardly placed in some traffic up the backstretch, chased the winner three wide into the lane, proved no match for that one, clearly second best. MACHADO in mid pack and outside, four wide through the turn, lost some position late in the bend, set down, rallied to outfinished several for the show, not a threat to the top three. GRIND off a step slow, raced back and outside, moved a bit closer while five wide through the turn, not enough late for the third spot. NO MORE KINGS off pace in the two path, improved inside of several rivals turning into the stretch, flattened out in the final furlong to finish up evenly. P R THE HOLY MAN broke out to bother a couple of foes, was straightened to race forwardly along the inside, closest to the winner late in the bend, had little left for the stretch drive. BIG TIME STORY hopped at the start to be last away, raced back and three wide, displayed a mild amount of interest to improve position, no real threat. ROOM KEY bothered the winner was pushed out at the break to be away slowly, raced back in trailing three wide, passed mostly tiring rivals. TROPHY HUSBAND hesitated at the start, remained always back along the inside. JAZZ MAN forwardly placed outside, four wide through the turn, roused late turn, tired through the stretch. JACKIE PAPER pressed the issue up front in the three path for almost four furlongs, gave way in some traffic late in the turn. WATASHI finished early while five to six wide in the turn.
