MISCHIEVOUS M forwardly placed three wide, advanced on the leader from the outside late in the turn, vied into the lane, long drive, stayed on to the wire to narrowly prevail. NICHOLAI pressed the issue throughout from along the inside, challenged the winner from along the inside in the final strides, not enough. DUAL MONARCHY angled toward the inside soon after the start, remained behind the pace, came in the two path into the lane, finished willingly while too late. OY GEVALD bobbled then steadied slightly at the start, lacked speed, called on for some run late in the turn while swinging out to be five wide into the stretch, shifted out a bit more late to remain widest, slowly coming late. VIKING within striking distance soon after the start, steadied behind the first flight into the turn, came four wide for the drive, went flat the final furlong to lack a closing punch. TURN UP THE TREES broke alertly, helped set a glib early pace, continued to show the way into the lane by a narrow margin, caved the final furlong to lose several positions. NORTHERN CHILL dwelt at the start to spot the field several lengths, improved position into the lane then flattened out a bit in the final furlong. SWEET AS SIN failed to menace while racing just off the inside. HEART N SOUL in the second flight while racing in the three path, had little left for the stretch drive. GA MO TAK (CHI) failed to menace while racing three wide. ON A HUNCH off slowly and was always outrun. SHIRL'S BEE four wide trip, steadily backed up.
