ROLL ON BIG JOE broke well, narrowly showed the way up the backstretch while between horses, dueled late in the turn and into the lane, shrugged off that foe to be clear by the furlong marker, maintained daylight to the wire under steady handling. BANISHING forwardly placed and four wide up the backstretch, advanced to race on equal terms outside the winner by late in the turn and into the stretch, could not match strides with that one past midstretch then was slowly getting back to that one late. TEJANO TWIST lacked early foot while racing outside, three to four wide out of the turn, staged a mild rally while remaining out in the strip to be closing the gap on the top two in to a degree the final sixteenth. SECOND I D broke alertly, raced with the pace along the inside backstretch, fell back off the leaders through the turn while continuing inside, went evenly through the stretch. SKELLY last away, moved up to the middle of the pack up the backstretch, hard held in traffic with a half to run, moved out a bit to be three wide and clear late in the turn, had not response through the lane. DURANTE came out at the break, lacked speed, raced in the two path through the turn, also failed to come up with a meaningful response through the stretch. SPANKSTER flashed early foot three wide, continued to contest the pace into the turn then gave way.
