Footnotes
BIG RED MACHINE broke alertly, chased in the two path for three furlongs, advanced off the inside, challenged outside the pacesetter late in the turn, took over, stayed clear for the final sixteenth. CREVALLA DE VIL off the early pace and the inside, three wide into the lane, steadily closed the gap on the winner, far clear of the others. NYAD behind the pace while along the inside, continued to save ground into the turn, steered out three wide by late in the turn finished up to be clear for the show, no match for the top two. AVERY COUNTY void of speed, three wide into the stretch, found best stride too late while improving position. BELLA'S ATREIDES brushed break, settled off the pace and the inside, between horses, came four wide for the drive, improved position without posing a serious threat. PRETTY DANG FAST hesitated at the start, trailed for a half inside, improved position by passing mostly tiring rivals to better her position, no real threat. CLAP BACK broke sharp, quickly got clear and to the inside, set the pace for a half, gave way when headed by the winner entering the stretch. NEWS TOO SERIOUS in the second flight along the inside, had little left for the stretch. COMPASSIONISTA off a step slow, failed to threaten. COWBOY KILLER broke in, brushed, never a factor. JAWDROPPER forward early while between horses in the second flight, stopped.
