MIDNIGHT WHIRL broke in, was straightened to race with the pace between horses up the backstretch, continued to battle through the turn, held a narrow advantage into the stretch, headed a furlong out, dug in and battled back to regain the edged late and the held a couple of additional foes safe late under firm handling and while between horses at the wire. IGNITING EMBERS within striking distance toward the inside, tipped out to be three wide turning for home, lost some ground to the winner, roused, finished up willingly late while widest of the first flight at the wire to gain the nod for the place. HUCKABY pushed in at the start, pressed the issue early three wide, outside bid turn, hooked up with the winner for a spirited stretch duel, gained the advantage with a furlong to run, stalled late to be outkicked by the winner, narrowly lost the nod for the second spot. ARKANSAS DAVE settled in mid pack while off the inside, moved out a bit for the drive, rallied, was going well late when he encountered traffic behind horses, steered to the rail and continued to show good energy while too late. ARCO THUNDER off the pace and the inside for a half, came four wide for the drive, lacked a closing response. BALI DEEN pinched back at the start, raced back, three wide into the lane, improved position without posing a serious threat. BEST FLAT OUT hesitated to be off slowly, moved out to be five wide through much of the turn, mid pack into the lane, flattened out. BERNARDI broke alertly, with the early pace along the inside, gave way by late in the turn. YANCOPIN saved ground to no avail in remaining back. ROKU NANA in mid pack and inside, came in the two path for the drive, failed to muster a rally. MONADNOCK off a step slow, remained back. BRYSONARDS broke in, raced three wide and was finished before a half.
