CREATIVE MINISTER settled off the pace while toward the inside early, continued to raced unhurried up the backstretch, steered out three wide when advancing toward the front late in the second turn, took over when straightened for home and drove clear. HERN chased the leader while off the inside between horses, advanced and briefly challenged inside the winner turning into the stretch, stalled a bit in upper stretch then displayed some late mettle to kick well clear of the rest to be second best. AMERICAN OUTLAW cleared to the inside entering the first turn, rated in showing the way up the backstretch, asked along second turn, briefly resisted the winner in upper stretch then could not match strides, faltered the final sixteenth to prove no match for the runner up, remained well clear of the others. SARA'S SHAMAN stumbled at the start to break back, in mid pack for three quarters off the inside, bettered position a bit in the drive without posing a serious threat. UNDERHILL'S TAB in the second flight while racing along the inside, had little left for the stretch run. ONTHESTAGE fell back after the start, failed to menace while racing along the inside. BOLD DISCOVERY off a step slow, raced six wide into the first turn, failed to menace. REBELIOUS off step slow, was four wide into the first turn, three wide onto the backstretch, tired from those early efforts. UNLOAD in the second flight three wide, staged a steady retreat. WINIT off a step slow, five wide into the first turn, continued well out in the strip, four wide second bend, always outrun.
