Footnotes
HERBS BOLT forwardly placed along the inside, remained within striking distance in hand up the backstretch while saving ground, shuffled back midway on the final turn, moved out, set down, outside bid, wore down foe to be in time while being carried out by that same foe late. HORSE OF THE SEA in mid pack early while three wide, advanced into contention after a half, ranged up to challenged three wide late in the final turn, gained a narrow advantage past the furlong marker, put nearest rival away soon after as the winner came calling from the outside, lugged out, dueled with that one to the wire and proved stubborn to the end while drifting out late. PERFECT AUDIBLE closest to the leader, challenged between rivals and inside the runner up late in the final bend, dueled with that one into and through upper stretch then could not keep up or contain the winner, enough left to last for the show. AFTER PARTY broke out, was straightened to move up in the main body while five wide into the first turn, made a mild gain three wide into the stretch then flattened out a bit in the final furlong to finish up evenly. KID CHARLEMAGNE broke back, void of speed, staged a mild, belated rally three wide, no real threat. SANTINNI broke in good order, one paced while saving ground, lacked a closing punch. KNICK THE QUICK broke alertly, set the pace for six furlongs toward the inside, faltered when headed late in the final bend. WAR MUNNY made little impact while saving ground throughout. FRENCH KNIGHT four wide when off the pace in the first turn, continued back while three wide through the final turn, tired in the stretch. DIVOT DIGGER away with the field, began to fade after five furlongs. JUST LIKE MAX was always outrun.
