Footnotes
DUKE OF DUVAL in the second flight while racing off the inside, ranged up three wide to challenge turning into the stretch, hooked up with the runner up for a spirited duel to the wire, fully extended to prove best. NUMBER ONE DUDE broke well, dueled into the first turn, pressed the leader onto the backstretch, reengaged that one before a half, vied between horses and inside the winner into the lane, second duel to the wire, proved stubborn to the wire in stubborn effort. SEIZE THE NIGHT off a step slow, raced back and just off the inside, continued in the two path second turn, moved out a bit for the drive, once again between horses in midstretch, up late for the show, not a threat to the top two. DR. STORM void of early speed while four wide through the first turn, continued to trail, dropped to the inside for the second bend, found best stride too late through the lane while improving position. THREE TECHNIQUE in the second flight along the inside alongside the winner, came up empty for the drive. NEON NIGHTS dueled up front along the inside, gave way in the drive. TRACKING ERROR in mid pack through the first turn, continued in the main body, lacked a closing response. BLACK POWDER off a step slow, four wide late in the first turn, in mid pack backstretch, tired through the stretch.
