STARK CONTRAST pressed BRIGANTE from outside to the far turn, moved up on even terms around the bend, took over past the quarter pole, put that rival away entering the final furlong and was kept busy to the wire. BRIGANTE set the tempo under pressure from STARK CONTRAST to the outside, headed by that rival on the far turn, lost command late on the bend, could not kick on with the winner at the eighth pole but stayed on for a clear second. UNRIVALED TIME got crowded between rivals prior to the first turn, chased three then two wide outside IRISEACH (IRE), trailed on the inside around the far turn, offered a mild response to urging and gained third. IRISEACH (IRE) became rank when pulling the rider along e3arly, tracked from inside into the far turn, tipped three wide nearing the stretch and lacked a rally. THIRD BEER stalked three deep around the first turn, ridden along the inside then two wide on the far turn but weakened in the drive.
