Footnotes
EXPLORA was content to trail the field to the turn, started to move in the four path around the bend and brushed with REVERA at the quarter pole, challenged the top pair entering the lane, drew clear at the eighth pole, drifted in a bit midstretch while beginning to draw away and was in hand approaching the wire. LA WALLY fought head to head outside HIMIKA up the backstretch, kept the pressure on that rival around the bend, fought between runners in upper stretch, could not kick on with EXPLORA entering the final furlong and kept on to best the rest. REVERA stalked the top pair from off the rail, brushed with EXPLORA chasing in the three path at the quarter pole, followed within range to the eighth pole, then flattened out while outfinishing HIMIKA for the show honors. HIMIKA dueled inside LA WALLY in the early going, carried a short lead over that rival through the turn, yielded to EXPLORA outside the eighth pole and weakened.
