Footnotes
SO HAPPY took contact from BUETANE leaving the gate, steadied behind ACKNOWLEDGEMEPLZ early, chased after the top pair from off the rail, moved into second around the bend in the two path, reeled in the leader at the eighth pole, put that rival away shortly after and remained clear to the wire. BUETANE broke in and bumped SO HAPPY, chased outside a pair of rivals, rounded the bend in the three path, took aim at the top pair in upper stretch, finished determinedly in the furlong grounds but had to settle for second best. ACKNOWLEDGEMEPLZ showed the way outside GREENWICH VILLAGE early, cleared that rival into the turn, ridden along the rail through the bend, got run down by SO HAPPY at the eighth pole and flattened to third. THIRSTY REBEL raced up close briefly dropped back to track between rivals, steadied at the seven-sixteenths pole, angled to the inside then steered back out at the quarter pole, driven three wide into the lane and lacked a rally. GREENWICH VILLAGE broke a step slow, went up to press the pace from inside, failed to keep up with the leader into the turn, lost ground around the bend and tired.
