IRISH ROYALTY dueled from inside, cleared in upper stretch and drew away. WARM SUN AND BREW stalked the top pair up the backstretch, came under a ride in the two path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and got up for second. CLEVER CLOVER dueled outside IRISH ROYALTY to the top of the stretch, failed to keep approaching the eighth pole and got outfinished for the place honors. GALLAND DE BESOS bumped with inner rivals crossing onto the dirt, raced off the pace outside a rival, angled to the rail once clear of that foe on the turn, then lacked a rally in the stretch run but kept on for a minor award. HIGHPLAINSDRIFTER raced outside a rival from off the pace into the turn, moved to the three path midway around the bend and failed to threaten. BERLIN WALL got bumped between rivals crossing onto the dirt, settled inside, shifted and checked at the three-eighths pole and could not threaten after. CARDIFF CRACK trailed along the rail into the turn, went two wide into the lane and failed to menace. CHECK'S ON THE WAY bumped crossing onto the dirt and took up, laid well off the pace after, rounded the bend along the rail then in the two path and proved no menace. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING SEVERAL RIVALS EARLY IN THE RACE. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT THE VIDEO FOOTAGE WAS INCONCLUSIVE AND NO ACTION WOULD BE TAKEN.
