STRAIT UP COUNTRY sprinted clear and pulled the rider along when taken in hand, moved to the inside, continued keenly on the backstretch, led clear under right handed urging into the final furlong and maintained a comfortable lead to the wire. HARDTOBEBETTERNOW forwardly placed outside a rival early, was closest in pursuit two wide around the far turn, moved out a bit in upper stretch, could not threaten the winner in the furlong grounds but was able to secure second. STAR OF DELHI chased from inside, angled out at the top of the lane and could not get by HARDTOBEBETTERNOW for second. SHAPOVAL went two wide into the first turn then got shuffled behind a trouble rival early on the bend, moved inside on the backstretch, bumped and got put in tight early on the far turn, hugged the rail to the stretch and churned on for a minor placing. ISLAND PARADISE tracked from inside, went between rivals on the backstretch, bumped with SHAPOVAL early on the far turn, went two wide into the lane and could not rally. BENNY'S PUZZLE raced in the two path towards the rear into the far turn, angled out leaving the far turn and was unable to threaten. VRON BY YOU was off slow to begin, saved ground through both turns and passed tired rivals. BIG BILL got bumped twice approaching the clubhouse turn, tracked in the two path, three deep on the backstretch, stayed off the rail to the stretch and weakened. IRISH ELEMENT tracked three deep around the first turn, four deep on the second bend, got floated five wide into the lane and came up empty.
