ATOMIC DROP dueled from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, put away inner rival at the quarter pole, led clear into the final sixteenth, grew weary late but was able to hold on. RAGING WATERS tracked two wide into the turn, found the rail around the bend, tipped out in upper stretch, surged inside ATOMIC DROP late and just missed. MAN CHILD stalked the top pair from inside, moved into the two path on the turn, finished willingly down the lane but could only whittle the gap late. GYPSY TEARS trailed early, moved out widest, chased four wide on the turn, three wide into the lane, pursued within striking distance in the final furlong but finished evenly late. TOUGHERTHANTHEREST battled for command inside ATOMIC DROP to the five-sixteenths pole, failed to kick on with that rival at the quarter pole and weakened in the final furlong. THE BIG CHEESEOLA stalked between rivals to the turn, navigated the bend two then three wide and also weakened. HABEAS chased after the dueling leaders three deep, weakened around the bend and moved to the two path, then had little left for the stretch run.
