CODE DUELLO established the front quickly, met bids from outer trio on the turn, cleared in upper stretch and drew away from HARCYN in deep stretch. HARCYN stalked three deep between rivals into the turn, remained three wide to the stretch, was closest in pursuit of the leader with a furlong remaining, could not make any headway late and stayed on to secure second. MINISTER SHANE angled in trailing the field early on, traveled two wide around the bend, steered out in the lane and offered a mild rally to gain third. COMMANDER (FR) settled out of range on the inside, tipped out at the top of the lane and rounded out the superfecta. SIMPLEXITY (IRE) sat off the pace in the early going, navigated the turn two wide, swung out into the stretch and could not rally. CROSBY BEACH was closest in pursuit of the pacesetter up the backstretch, challenged from outside on the turn, failed to kick on with the winner into the stretch and weakened. BINGING gave chase from off the pace, rounded the bend in the three path, angled wide for the drive and failed to menace. RUN FOR KIDDER chased after the lone leader from inside, ridden along through the turn, then faded down the lane. PLEASE FOCUS got put in tight and checked early, moved up four deep, followed closely in the four path around the bend but tired in the stretch run.
